Framedestination.com offers non-standard sizes
When amateur photographer Mark Rogers started researching frames for his own digital prints, he discovered frame companies didn't always offer the non-standard sized frames needed to fit the unique shape of digital prints (13"x9", for example). So, in April 2004, he launched the web-based business, www.framedestinations.com, to meet the growing need for museum and archival quality frames in non-standard sizes.

Today, the company has moved into a new building - in Dallas, Tex. - where customers can shop in a showroom. Frame Destination, Inc., markets acid-free, conservation quality frames in wood or metal, complete with Cyro acrylic glazing and Artcare-treated Bainbridge mat/mount components. New product may revolutionize ind'y
Sim-Pull Products, LLC, based in Lewis Center, Oh., has introduced a new line of hardware devices it predicts will fundamentally change how people hang pictures, calendars, mirrors, clocks, coats, robes, purses, keys and shelves. The new devices a variety of hooks, wall hangers and shelves can be installed and removed without tools.

Powerful little fasteners, constructed from stainless steel and tough plastic, hold remarkable amounts of weight and can be matched to nearly any drywall hanging task. Two blades, mounted on a tiny pivot rod, are embedded into a high-impact plastic head. The blades are inserted through an aperture on the hanging hook and into the drywall surface. They spread apart as they cut through the drywall matrix and embed themselves.
